Howard Wagner Lake Erie Musky

Howard Wagner is the fisherman who hooked this world record size musky you see before you. It weighed an amazing 53 pounds and 9 ounces, with a 24 inch girth. The angler Howard Wagner stated the musky get that big in Lake Erie due to the abundance of food, meaning the shad and shiner schools.

It might even have been a New York state record, but the 69-pound St. Lawrence River muskie that set the record 50 years ago remains clouded in controversy. It has gone down in my book as one of the largest Musky I have ever seen!
